MS Outlook Email Settings for Yahoo

In contrast to the Yahoo.com email, email Yahoo.co.id accompanied with SMTP and POP3 features for free. Thus you can access (send and receive) an email using an email client like MS Outlook, MS Outlook Express, The Bat, Thunderbird, etc..

You also can access email from your mobile phone Yahoo.co.id. Obviously if your phone supports SMTP and POP3 e-mail features.

First you login to your Yahoo email and do the configuration as follows:

1. Click the menu / link option on the right slightly upward.
2. Click the menu / link POP Access and Forwarding.
3. Click on the option (radio button) Web & POP Access and click the Save button.

Then open MS Outlook Express program and do the settings as below:


1. Click Tools - Accounts.
2. Move to the Mail tab.
3. Click Add - Mail.
4. Display Name Fill in your name.
5. Fill in the email address with your Yahoo email, for example emaillatihanku@yahoo.co.id
6. Contents Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server with pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
7. Fill Outgoing mail (SMTP) server with plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
8. Fill in the email account with your login name. If your email emaillatihanku@yahoo.com Account name then you are content with emaillatihanku.
9. Fill in Password with your password.
10.Click Finish.
11.In the Internet Accounts form, pilik email that you just created and click Properties.
12.Move to the Advanced tab.
13.In the field Server Port Numbers - Outgoing mail (SMTP) is filled with 465.
14.In the field Server Port Numbers - Incoming mail (POP3) is filled with 995.
15.Put a check (centhang) in the This server requires a secure connection (SSL).

16. click OK
Now please try to download email from Yahoo. The trick, click the icon Send / Recv and select the name of the email that you created earlier. Or you can also click the icon Send / Recv - Receive All.
